I had to pull out one of the old uketopus bodies and complete it so I’d have something to play since C. has been using mine so much.

A little twilight lute music with a cameo appearance from a cat that wanted to nuzzle my fingers.
Re-post, because why doesn’t Tumblr just embed Youtube videos automatically any more?

Thoughts on a Saturday morning.
I get lonesome on Saturday mornings. I don’t know why this should be.
I’m working on some transcriptions of lute music for ukulele. It’s not nearly as preposterous as that seems. They sound very similar.
I feel vastly removed from my generation.

Last night I was doodling some designs for the octopus ukuleles. I like this happy character.

I’ve been thinking about making a little series of funny ukulele’s with sea creatures on them.
uke fandango (by lachrimaestro)
Fooling around in the basement playing 19th century songs.

So, I’ve taken up the ukulele. I think I like the slightly absurd aspect of a large fellow playing the most minuscule of instruments. I’m seated on a special little bench that I made to duplicate one that I sat on as a child learning to play guitar. (Sort of a Glenn Gould thing…) it’s just the perfect height. Unfortunately it also gives me the proportions of a gnome. What happened to my torso?
And this documents me trying to work out the chord progression for Danzig’s “Mother (can I go out and kill tonight?)”.
