There’s a bit of a handwriting meme going around through some of the people I follow. When he was 16 my grandfather kept a a little notebook in which he copied down songs and bits of verse and things to remember. It was 1926, and he had the most amazing copper-plate script. It’s not an exercise book – this was how he *really* wrote.
Here’s some Shakespeare suitable for a winter afternoon. He didn’t include the refrain for some reason, so I’ve filled it in with my own squiggles.
