I think I talk like Captain Kirk…

or rather, a gentle version of Captain Kirk.  I often envy those who think in words. All my life my ideas have come in the form of images and pictures. My memory and thinking is done visually.  When I speak, there’s usually a second or two delay while I struggle to translate the picture into language.

And then, there’s the frustration at trying to communicate something “worth a thousand words” in a single sentence. It hurts to see the glorious panorama of color transformed into a second-generation photocopy. Much of what I want to say is never said. Much of what I experience is impossible to describe.
