-With some greyhounds to the left and a vicious German Shepherd to the right, our yard has become a favored stopping place for stray cats. Today I saw a cheeky devil sit equidistant from the fences and casually groom himself, pretending he wasn’t aware of how disruptive he was being.
-The census showed up today. This is a big thing. The previous (truly evil) Conservative government abolished it in their efforts to show people that they literally didn’t count, and that if our opinions were required they would tell us what they were.
-Sadness continues. Very lonely.

-I’m working on a spooky comic. The etching workshop I was going to take has been cancelled. I was hoping to make some etched plates for it, but I guess I will be drawing it all with pen.

I slept in ‘til almost 9. I managed in my dozing to somehow construct an elaborate hood of bedding to block out sun and sounds.
Then an incursion took place at the cave entrance.

I just came inside. It’s -15.
It seems there are times when even fingerless mittens aren’t enough. The feline hand warmer probably hadn’t counted on cold paws when she asked for cuddles.

A spoopy kitty tarantula for @kaonicks.

It is early evening and I am trying to take a photograph of myself and like so many things it fails to meet expectations. I’m drinking a beer and I look more tired than I can want to appear. Linus is purring continuously. I stop to smile at him and wonder if cats with poor vision grow longer whiskers to compensate. He has some very long whiskers.

The cats usually ignore the TV. Recently though, Linus has taken an interest in figure skaters, especially when they’re doing their spins. He’s visually impaired, but he seems impressed with their motion and colorful costumes.
