For Canadians the most polarizing Halloween candy has always been the Kerr’s molasses kiss, even more contentious than candy corn. These were a trick or treat mainstay in my youth. They’re like… tootsie rolls but harder? And chewier?  And with a strange pungent taste that seems to be straight out of the 1920′s?  They will instantly ruin any dental work, and have been responsible for millions of lost baby teeth.  They also have dynamite wrapper graphics that would make for a great tattoo.  I miss these things.
